Way back in 1989, Steve started at Alan Geoffrey Joiners as an apprentice. After his 5 year apprenticeship, he attained his City and Guilds of London Institute Craft and Advanced Craft Levels plus his GCSE in Design and Realisation. Even picking up apprentice of the year in 1992 before taking over the business in 1999 when brother in law Tony, also joined the team.
Overseeing the running of the business with an ever present professionalism and friendly approach, Steve and his team strive for perfection and take pride in all that they do, delivering projects above and beyond their customers expectations.
Very much the family man, Steve has a keen interest in karate and kickboxing alongside his two sons. And when he isn’t on walking adventures with Archie and his family he can also be found mountain biking or playing golf on some of Yorkshire’s finest courses.
Brother in law to Steve, Tony brings even more accreditation to Alan Geoffrey Joiners with his City and Guilds of London Institute Craft and Advanced Craft Levels.
Tony is our ‘man who can’ when it comes to site work and installation of our products. Nothing is too much trouble and will go out of his way to make sure your project is delivered and installed to the highest of standards.
A busy family man with 4 children, he enjoys weekends away at the caravan and the odd trip to his local for a drink with his son too. Rugby league is also a big passion and when time allows he can often be found supporting his favourite team.
With an ever present energy and passion for his work, Owen has been a valuable asset to the team since 2015. Joining us as an apprentice and trained to NVQ Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery, he is now with us as a full time joiner.
Allowing plenty of time for catching up with his friends outside of work and taking every opportunity to head to the gym, whilst squeezing in some time to catch up on his love of football.

Always on hand for a walk or a play with a ball, Archie is a much loved character at Alan Geoffrey Joiners. He’ll be sure to greet you with the friendliest of all tail wagging in the hope there will be a treat on offer.
If its been a tough day, you will often find him stretched out in the saw dust catching up on his snooze time.
Away from ‘work’, Archie is at his happiest on long family walks and getting plenty of fresh air.
Our team are always here to help. Bringing a professional and friendly approach to any project.
